MYSTERY
IN THE AIR!
By Mark Stuart
Last
month we experienced some intermittent down
time from the Hillsdale tower, which affected
the Joslin link. When we climbed the tower
on a sunny Sunday afternoon we didn't expect
to find what we did. Either a winged creature
or some other creature unafraid of heights
(unlike us) had visited our equipment and
decided to make a snack out of our cabling
and one of our plastic outdoor tool boxes
(We keep a tool box up in the air so that
when we forget the basic tools, we have
a backup. Also, we keep chemical pack hand
warmers in the tool box as well so that
when we climb in the winter we have them
to keep our little digits warm).

So long Bob!
He's been with us through the good and
the bad. And now we are retiring him! Sometime
soon when you do a speedtest you will find
that Bob is no longer. This is because we
have found another solution with more features.

Share and Share alike
..but do it legally.
While its fun to download music,
movies etc. there is a cost! Kazza, Limewire,
BitTorrent, etc all turn your computer into
a server and use up significant resources.
This type of activity will degrade the entire
network performance, including your neighbors.
